Council Of State

In order to fulfill Article 89 clause 2 c of the 1992 Constitution which talks about The Council of State and its representatives from each region, the Electoral Commission of Ghana has scheduled 12th February, 2021 for elections of Regional Representatives of the said council across all the sixteen Regions.

The Bono East Region for the first time is going to have its Representation. The Newly created region has seen ten persons in the contest.

The aspirants are, Agyapong Adu-Baah, a trader with ‘O’ level as his highest qualification, Fred Zeini aged 58, a businessman with SHS as qualification,
Oseadeeyo Akumfi Ameyaw iv aged 58, a banker with LLB(Hons)BL as qualification,
Obrempong Kru-Takyi ii aged 45, a farmer who has GCE A level,
Pimapim Yaw Kagbrese iv, a retired public servant with ‘O’ level.

Others are, a 23 year old self employed Alhassan Sulemana a holder of WASSCE, a 29 year accountant with 1st degree, Gyima Nana Owusu aged 76, a farmer with A-4YR certificate.

The last two on the notice of poll are, Kwasi Nsiah Gyabaah a consultant with PhD aged 71 and Amoako Kwadwo Goodwin, a teacher with MBA aged 32.
