Authenticity Is Our Hallmark

Kweku Baako

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper and ace Journalist Kweku Baako Jr has cautioned that calls for the reversal of the Agyapa Royalties Agreement at this time are unrealistic.

He stated that we are neck-deep in this agreement and believes all significant groups should get involved to ensure Ghana secures a rather good deal than calling for its reversal.

Speaking on Newsfile on Joy FM, Mr. Baako admitted that it would have been ideal if the government had engaged the CSOs right from the beginning of the deal but was quick to add that the CSOs should have been on alert to raise the red flags earlier.

Civil Society Organizations are very important and critical and l don’t have any problem with them calling for a consultation”, he added.

Some 15 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on Tuesday 25th August, 2020 demanded a suspension of the agreement until all necessary documents have been disclosed.
