The Assemblyman for Mpatuam Electoral Area in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, Frederick Nkansah has encouraged candidates writing the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) , to remain confident and approach the examination with determination to enable them come out successful.
Speaking to pupils at Mpatuam East and west JHS respectively on Tuesday September 1,2020, Hon.fredrick Nkansah noted that BECE results in the past years have not been worst and therefore he needed to support the candidates with some basic needs to improve on results in the community.
He assured that this year’s best candidate would be awarded with an amount of five hundred cedis (¢5,00), candidates with grades six(6) will be adjudged with one thousand five hundred cedis (¢1,500), candidates with grade 7-9 with one thousand cedis (¢1000) and candidates with grade 10-15 will also be awarded with five hundred cedis (¢5,00) to encourage others to learn for improved performance.
He also promised to give out one refrigerator with a wall clock to the best school in the community
The Assembly member made this known when he distributed PPE’S to schools in both Mpatuam west and East electoral area in order to combat the covid-19 pandemic.
He asked candidates to concentrate on what they had been taught by their teachers and not to listen to anyone who would approach them with fake examination “apor” questions.
Hon. Frederick Nkansah also encouraged teachers to give their best for the candidates to enable them come out with flying colours.
He added,”let’s encourage our wards, siblings and friends to put in extra effort towards the attainment of great grades.Together we go build Mpatuam.”,he stated
The proprietor of The Wise Academy, Collins Amoah thanked the Assembly member for the gesture and prayed that the 2020 BECE results would be one of the best.
