E-Levy:Another Bold Illegality Revealed About Mobile Money Transactions-CHECK DETAILS.
Most of the time, Ghanaians go to mobile money vendors to send their monies to relatives or friends. Since the introduction of E-levy, a lot of mobile money vendors raised concerns that it will affect their business.
Meanwhile, a member of the E-levy technical committee has revealed that it is illegal for anyone to go to a mobile money vendor to send his/her money to other relatives.
” It is illegal to go to a mobile money vendor to send your money to other people. What mobile money vendors do is cash in and cash out. Telecommunications themselves told us that it’s illegal for people to send money through mobile money vendors. When you send your money through a vendor to anyone, that transaction doesn’t cover E-levy because it’s illegal.” Patrick Frimpong boldly revealed this to Joy News.
