Authenticity Is Our Hallmark

Afenyo-Markin, the outgoing warped Member of Parliament (MP) for Effutu does not deserve a third term in Parliament, therefore, all thumbs should be on deck to help give this disgrace to the NPP, the marching orders from Parliament.

A little comparison with the Hon. Lydia Alhassan, the MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon (University of Ghana home constituency) would aid in buttressing the argument for showing Afenyo-Markin the red card from Parliament on Monday, December 7, 2020.

On May 8, 2019, Hon. Lydia Alhassan donated two motorbikes and a saloon car to the University of Ghana.

On October 11, 2019, Hon. Lydia Alhassan again donated beverages, detergents, books and a cash amount of Three Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢3,000.00) to Legon. Her kind benevolence was towards the blood donation exercise and the reading clinics organized by the Local Organization Committee (LOC) and Sports Directorate of Legon, as part of activities preceding the Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games in January 2020.

Furthermore, on June 19, 2020, Hon. Lydia Alhassan, donated Personal Protective Equipment, that is, nose masks and sanitizers, to the JCRs of some Halls at Legon for distribution to Level 400 students who returned to campus to complete their programmes of study.

In addition, Hon. Lydia Alhassan donated a router to the Annex B of Mensah Sarbah Hall reading room; carried out repairs of Annexes C and D reading rooms air conditioners; sponsored the OKPO League 2020; and drilled a borehole.

Let me remind readers that Hon. Lydia Alhassan has been in Parliament for less than two (2) years, and yet, has managed to contribute immensely to the development of the University of Ghana.

In contrast, Afenyo-Markin has been in Parliament for eight (8) years, but has NEVER donated even a torchlight to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

Apart from instigating instability (spearheaded the removal of Prof. Avoke from office as Vice-Chancellor of UEW) and allegedly sponsoring violent student demonstrations (video of Afenyo-Markin on a platform at SEMSA at UEW available) against the management of UEW as a result of his parochial and selfish interest, there is nothing else to write home about in respect of Afenyo-Markin’s contribution to the advancement and development of UEW.

Parliament is one of the most respected organs of government, therefore, crooks like Afenyo-Markin don’t deserve membership of this august house.
Afenyo-Markin stinks to high heaven, so let’s together get rid of him from Parliament.
Respected Members of Parliament deserve a fresh breath of air by not having tramps like Afenyo-Markin sitting next to them and exuding a pungent and nauseating smell.

Please vote Nana Akufo-Addo for President on Monday, December 7, 2020, and abstain from voting in the Parliamentary elections! Thank you
