JUST IN:More Nurses To Be Engaged As Government Gives Clearance For Recruitment Of Over 18,000 Diploma, Degree Nurses.
Clearance For Recruitment of Nurses || A total number of 18,173 diploma nurses and degree nurses
are set to be employed as Governmen of Ghanat, through the Ministry of
Finance has given financial clearance to the Ministry of Health for
recruitment of nurses.
This was revealed in two different letters sighted by GhanaHealthCheck.com signed by Abena Osei-Asare the Deputy Minister for Finance.
In the first letter dated March 3, 2020, the Finance minster has
okayed the employment of ten thousand and ninety-seven (10,097) graduate
nurses who completed both Public and Private Health Training
Institutions.
“The effective date of appointment for the batch of 1,171 Registered
General Nurses and Midwives (Degree) should not be earlier than 1st
August 2020 and the remaining 8,926 Registered General Nurses and
Midwives Diploma should not be earlier than 1st September, portions of
the letter addressed to the Minister of Health read.
In the most recent letter dated June 9, 2020, the Finance Ministry
has again approved the employment of eight thousand and seventy-six
(8,076) Nurse Assistant Clinical (NAC) and Nurse Assistant Preventive
(NAP) who completed in 2017 from Public Health Training Institutions.
“The Health Ministry is hereby granted financial clearance to enable
the Ministry of post eight thousand and seventy-six (8,076) Nurse
Assistant Preventive and Nurse Assistant Clinical who completed in 2017
from various Public Health Training Institutions,” portions of the
letter.
It further stated that “the effective date of the appointed personnel should not be earlier than 1st November, 2020.”
