Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central, has criticized Afia Akoto’s dismissal from the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).
“I’ve been informed that Afia Akoto has been fired from MASLOC. “They claim she married an NDC man, so they fired her,” he stated on Accra-based OMAN FM.
He does not accept her marriage to the Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as an excuse.
Kennedy Agyapong feels that the party’s actions against its own constituents would lead to resistance, and that something must be done to address this.
He stated that party members are irritated by the party’s actions and are preaching against the party, which he feels would backfire if nothing is done.
“Party members are dissatisfied with what is going on within the party.” They are the ones advocating against the party, and if nothing is done to stop them, it will lead to our opposition,” the businessman predicted.
Kennedy Agyapong stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) does not reward individuals who sacrifice for the party because they do not perceive their worth, but rather those who seem to be nice and do not attend to the party grounds are rewarded.
He warned against it, implying that people who connect with and work for the party should be rewarded.
Afia Akoto, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) leader, is married to Chief Biney, the opposition’s Deputy National Organizer.
