
Parts of the Greater Accra Region will from Wednesday (23 March) experience interruption in water supply, an official statement has said.
It follows announcement by the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) to shut down the Weija Headworks temporarily to enable the Electricity Company of Ghana carry out expansion works at the facility.
The GWCL is therefore urging consumers to store enough water ahead of the exercise.
The affected areas are Kasoa, Weija, Mallam Junction, McCarthy Hill, Bortianor, Gbawe, Anyaa, Awoshie, Dansoman, Sakaman, Glefe, Odorkor, Mataheko, Mamprobi.
Others are Chorkor, Kaneshie, Akweteyman, Abeka-Lapaz, Nii Boi Town, Tesano, Achimota, Accra Central business district, parts of Ministries and surrounding areas.
