The defense lawyer of the 53-year-old farmer, Gregory Afoko who had been accused of the untimely death of the former New Patriotic Party (NPP), Upper East regional chairman, Alhaji Adam Mahama has undoubtedly come out to accuse the police investigator o the anticipated case of being untruthful to the court.
Upon several scrutinies and continual questioning alongside body language amongst others, the lawyer of the accused, Stephen Sowah later revealed that the investigator, chief inspector Augustus Nkrumah wasn’t telling the court the entire truth regarding the police investigation into the substance believed to be an acid which subsequently led to the untimely death of the regional chairman, Adams Mahama.
“I’m putting it to you that you are not being truthful to the court. What you are telling the court is not just plausible”, the defense lawyer for the accused emphatically stated.
In response to this, the police investigator who stood in the witness box unexpectedly denied all claims aside emphatically stating “I’m being truthful to the court”.
