Information reaching societywatch.net has it that the National Media
Commission has banned Fetish priests and mallams who appear on
Television to market their services, effective 1st May, 2020.
This directive came from the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who sent a letter to that effect to the NMC.
It is a common sight to see fetish priests and mallams display and their services on local Television stations in the country.
These mallams and fetish’s always use
“money” as their main tool of enticement; and promise to make people
rich if only they contact them.
Some have even opened up television stations where they have a 24 access to air time to market themselves.
This directive will see an end to such programs on national television.
