
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced an indefinite postponement of the reopening of Parliament’s Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament.
The House was originally expected to reconvene on Tuesday, October 14, but a formal notice issued by the Speaker on Monday, October 6, indicated that the session has been deferred until further notice.
“I, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, hereby give notice that the commencement of the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic is deferred until further notice due to circumstances beyond my control,” the statement read.
The Speaker assured that a new date for the resumption will be communicated once the reasons for the delay have been addressed.
