Authenticity Is Our Hallmark

The body of a man who had been buried at Moserater Cemetery in Mempasem Electoral Area at Ejura has been removed by three suspected “Sakawa” boys.

According to an eyewitness, Isidini Ibrahim, who claims to be the first person to settle in the neighbourhood, he decided to go for a stroll around 2:00am to ward off cattle which often destroy his stuff. While on the move, he spotted light from a torchlight at a distance at that wee hour of the day which raised his curiosity.

As he moved toward the direction of the light, he saw spotted three young guys with a pickaxe busily digging. As he moved closer, the suspects heard his footstep and bolted.

He then decided to pursue them, but unfortunately, he could not reach the suspects.

According to Isidini Ibrahim, he then returned to the scene and found out that the body of a man who had been buried had been removed by the boys.

Efforts are being made to reach NADMO officials to help in reburying the body.

As of Tuesday May 10, 2022 evening, the body was yet to be re-buried.
