HOT STORIES GHANA

Authenticity Is Our Hallmark

Mr Joshua Upoalkpajor, a Lecturer at the Department of Counselling Psychology and the CEO of SURABA Counselling Centre announced this decision on his Facebook wall a few days ago.

“IT WAS A BLESSED DAY AS I RECIEVED BLESSINGS FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA (H. E. ALHAJI MAHAMOUD BAWUMIA) AT THE SEAT OF GOVERNMENT (JUBILEE HOUSE) WHEN I MET HIM TO ANNOUNCE MY CANDIDATURE FOR THE POSITION OF NPP SECOND VICE CHAIRMAN IN THE NORTHERN REGION OF GHANA”.

Not much is known about the young Lecturer but a few checks by Nec_news indicates that he is a native of Chamba in the Nanumba North District of the Northern Region. Our checks also revealed that the young Lecturer attended Cape Coast Polytechnic where he obtained his HND and was also an executive member of TESCON for two academic yesrs in 2002 and 2003 respectively. He went on to obtain a B.Ed and also M.Phil in Guidance and Counselling at the University of Education, Winneba and latter left Ghana to Thailand where he did some further studies and obtained MA Policy Management at the National Institute of Development and Administration (Bangkok, Thailand). He is currently a PhD candidate at the Centro Escolar University in the Philippines. He also previously did some work at Ghana Tourism Development Company where he worked at the Big Tree receptive facility centre at Akyem Oda in the EasternRegion.

Though not much is known about him within the public limelight, many political watchers within the region have tipped him to win the contest due to his relationship with the Vice President and also his closeness with the Defense Minister, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul. The young Lecturer has on many platforms been seen with the Defense Minister which many are tempted to believe he is a Personal Assistant to the Defense Minister.

Nec_news promised to bring you more details when the show finally begins. Our team will try and bring you some bits and pieces about other candidates within the region. It’s going to be exciting and interesting.
