A fire on Sunday afternoon gutted several commercial shops near the Shell Filling Station at Achimota Abofu, destroying seven containers and their contents.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that the blaze began around 3 p.m. and was fully extinguished after three hours of firefighting efforts.
The affected shops, which sold soft drinks, tissue paper, and other goods, were brought under control thanks to a coordinated response by fire crews from the Anyaa, National Headquarters, and Legon Fire Stations.
No injuries were reported, and fire personnel successfully prevented the flames from spreading to nearby properties.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and assess the full extent of the damages.
