Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has cautioned members of the NPP Minority Caucus that growing internal divisions are undermining their effectiveness in holding the government accountable.
Speaking at a caucus meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Afenyo-Markin said the caucus’s greatest threat is not the Majority, but their own disunity.
“We are here by choice, to serve the people, yet our internal disagreements are becoming their burden,” he said. He urged MPs to prioritise unity over political ambition, noting that disagreements are natural but must never compromise their shared responsibility.
He also criticised the government for economic mismanagement and abuse of state institutions, stressing that only a united Minority can effectively confront these challenges.
