Political Aide to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kwesi Botchway, has described the NPP Presidential candidate as a credible and trustworthy leader whose public conduct sets him apart in Ghana’s political landscape.
Speaking on Lawson FM, Mr. Botchway said Dr. Bawumia has consistently demonstrated discipline and respect in public life. “Dr. Bawumia is trustworthy. He has never insulted women, he has not gotten himself involved in disputes, and he has never purchased any government property,” he stated.
He reiterated that the Presidential aspirant’s record reflects personal integrity and restraint. “He is credible. He has also never insulted pastors or bought any government properties. He has really comported himself,” Mr. Botchway added.
Beyond character, the political aide said Dr. Bawumia’s priority as a president when given the opportunity in the future would be tackling unemployment, particularly among the youth. “The first thing on his agenda when he becomes president is the creation of jobs, because he has seen that this is our major problem,” he said.
Mr. Botchway rejected claims that Ghanaian youth are unwilling to work, arguing instead that opportunities are limited. “The youth in this country are not lazy; it is jobs that they do not have,” he stressed.
He concluded that Dr. Bawumia’s integrity, coupled with a clear focus on employment and youth empowerment, makes him a credible choice for national leadership.
