The 40th anniversary of Victory Bible Churches International (VBCI) turned into a national call for optimism as Presiding Bishop Rt. Rev. N.A. Tackie-Yarboi declared that Ghana’s future remains secure despite widespread anxiety over the country’s direction.

Addressing thousands of congregants and dignitaries at the Black Star Square in Accra, Bishop Tackie-Yarboi dismissed doom-laden predictions, insisting that “Ghana will not burn.” He urged Christians to trust in God’s enduring presence and to believe that divine guidance would raise capable leaders to steer the nation forward.

Preaching on the theme “Thy Will Be Done on Earth,” the Bishop cautioned against what he called “destructive prophecy”,  the growing trend of ministers proclaiming calamity over the nation. He encouraged men and women of God to use their voices to uplift rather than to instill fear.

Quoting Matthew 6:10, he reminded the congregation that while heaven is without problems, God’s purpose is to bring heavenly order and peace to earthly affairs. “Jesus came to make the earth reflect heaven, a place where problems no longer rule,” he said.

The event, which capped four decades of VBCI’s ministry and expansion, was filled with thanksgiving, worship, and messages of renewal. For many, Bishop Tackie-Yarboi’s words were not just a sermon but a timely message of reassurance for a nation longing for hope
