Former Energy Minister, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to tone down public disputes and focus on solving the real problems Ghanaians face.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr. Agyarko said excessive public arguments within the party only damage its image and weaken public trust.

“The NPP talks too much in public. That is not what Ghanaians want to hear. When people vote, they expect solutions to their daily struggles, not unnecessary quarrels among politicians,” he cautioned.

Mr. Agyarko was reacting to the ongoing tension between Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, and the NPP leadership. He advised that such disagreements be handled internally rather than played out in the media.

“Abronye should not have replied publicly. He could have called the General Secretary directly. These matters can be solved quietly without all the noise,” he advised.

Mr. Agyarko’s comments follow news that Abronye has agreed to appear before the NPP’s National Disciplinary Committee after General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong filed a petition against him on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
