Ghanaian social commentator Bongo Ideas has taken to social media to criticize Big Jiggy a Nigerian artist who recently accused Shatta Wale of disappointing him during a visit to Ghana.

In a fiery Facebook post, Bongo Ideas described the artist’s outburst as “ungrateful” and “attention-seeking,” noting that the musician had benefitted from performing before a crowd of over 50,000 people in Ghana but had shown “no gratitude” afterward.

According to Bongo Ideas, the artist deleted his Ghana-related videos and unfollowed Shatta Wale on social media following the event, actions the commentator interpreted as a lack of respect for the Ghanaian music industry.

“You got the chance to perform before 50,000 people in Ghana and still no gratitude. No wonder Nigerian celebs don’t help you,” Bongo Ideas wrote.

He went on to suggest that Ghana had equally talented performers who could easily outshine the visiting act, adding that Shatta Wale’s support should have been appreciated rather than met with criticism.

Bongo’s post has since sparked heated debate online, with fans divided between those defending Shatta Wale’s hospitality and others arguing that the Nigerian artist may have had legitimate grievances.
