In a show of overwhelming support, 30 out of 45 constituency youth organisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region have publicly declared their backing for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the party’s next presidential candidate.
The declaration comes after extensive consultations and a thorough evaluation of all presidential aspirants within the party. According to the youth organisers, Dr. Bawumia’s track record, leadership qualities, and policy vision make him the best candidate to lead the NPP and steer Ghana towards greater prosperity.
In a joint statement, the undersigned constituency youth organisers expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s competence, describing him as a unifying force, a loyal party member, and a trusted leader with the experience to guide the party to victory in the 2028 elections.
“We are convinced that Dr. Bawumia’s policies are not only practical but transformative. His clear strategies for job creation and economic growth resonate with our vision for the country and the party. Supporting him is the best decision for the future of Ghana,” the statement added.
The youth organisers also highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s popularity and credibility, noting that he has already been well-received by the public and would require less effort to mobilize electoral support compared to other aspirants.
As the NPP prepares for its presidential primaries, this endorsement from a significant portion of its youth leadership in the Central Region could be a major boost to Dr. Bawumia’s campaign and influence the party’s trajectory ahead of the 2028 elections.
