COP MAAME YAA TIWAA HONOURED BY CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS GHANA

The Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), has honoured COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah (Mrs), former President of the Association of Women Accountants, Ghana (AWAG), for her exceptional contribution to empowering female accountants in the country.

The former Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and current President of the Police Ladies Association (POLAS) was celebrated at ICAG’s 45th Graduation and Admission Ceremony for her inspiring leadership, mentorship, and commitment to uplifting women in the profession.

COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa has been widely recognised for her personal sponsorship of the Overall Best Female Candidate awards at both Level 1 and Level 2 during ICAG’s graduation ceremonies, held twice each year.

“Her continued commitment has not only elevated individual achievers but has also encouraged more women to aim for excellence in the accounting profession,” ICAG leaders stated, describing her as the true definition of an “Empowered Woman, Empowering the Profession.”

Alongside her recognition, Ms. Adwoa Nyamekye Agyei (Level 1) and Ms. Keziah Lartiorkor Lartey (Level 2) were awarded for their outstanding academic performances.

The honours were presented by ICAG Vice President, Rev. Dr. Cynthia Sallah, together with AWAG President, Mrs. Akua Bonsu, and other executives, symbolising legacy, continuity, and shared celebration.

ICAG and AWAG extended their heartfelt appreciation to COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa for her visionary support and unwavering dedication to empowering women through education, mentorship, and recognition.
