Fuel prices are expected to rise across pumps beginning Saturday, November 16, 2025, according to projections by the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC). The hikes are attributed to rising global crude oil prices and the continued depreciation of the Ghanaian cedi.

In a statement signed by Executive Secretary Duncan Amoah, COPEC estimated that petrol prices will go up by about 3.38%, increasing from an average of GHS12.18 to GHS12.59 per litre. Diesel is expected to see a much sharper jump of 9.81%, moving from GHS12.49 to GHS13.71 per litre.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) consumers will also be affected, with prices projected to rise by 1.97%, pushing the cost to about GHS11.87 per kilogram.

According to COPEC, these adjustments mirror developments on the international petroleum market as well as currency fluctuations that continue to drive import costs upward. The organisation noted that while final pump prices may vary among Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), they are expected to fall within a five percent margin of the projections.

Mr. Amoah urged OMCs to consider absorbing part of the increases to reduce the financial burden on consumers. “We appeal to OMCs to cushion consumers where possible and avoid steep hikes,” he said.
