The Eminent West Africa Nobles Forum (E-WANF) has officially appointed Dr. Richard Asiedu, a reputable educationist, businessman, and politician, as its new President-General. The announcement was made by the Forum’s Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Dee Otibu-Asare, who noted that Dr. Asiedu succeeds the immediate past President-General, Nana (Dr.) Appiagyei Dankawoso I.
Dr. Asiedu is a long-standing member of the Forum, having joined in 2016 and previously served as its Vice-President. He is widely recognized for his significant role in nation-building and his unwavering commitment to mentorship and community upliftment. Beyond his new leadership role, Dr. Asiedu serves as the Board Chairman of the Ghana Integrated Iron and Steel Development Corporation (GIISDC) and is the Chief Executive Officer of the St. Andrews Group of Schools and Companies, a College of Healthcare, and the Rich Multimedia Institute.
His contributions to education are particularly notable, as he has spent millions of Cedis on building educational structures in rural areas to harness the potential of young people. He is also in the final process of obtaining official authorization from the National Accreditation Board to establish Mount Hebron University College of Health and Allied Sciences, which is affiliated with the University of Cape Coast. In the business sector, Dr. Asiedu operates Nakata Travel and Tours, Kings Forex Bureau, and St. Andrews Transport/Haulage Services, creating thousands of jobs for the youth in alignment with the Forum’s long-term advocacy.
The new President-General holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Resource Management from Atlantic International University, a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development from the University of Cape Coast, and a BSc in Business Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
The Eminent West Africa Nobles Forum is a sub-regional think tank fashioned after the Philosophical Society of America. It brings together over 3,000 eminent West Africans, including statesmen, legal luminaries, research fellows, technocrats, and captains of industry. The group meets annually to deliberate and proffer solutions to the various challenges confronting the West African sub-region and the African continent at large.
