ECG Launches “Operation All Must Pay” to Recover Nationwide Debt

Accra, Ghana – The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced the launch of “Operation All Must Pay,” a nationwide revenue mobilization exercise aimed at recovering outstanding debts from customers across the country.

The exercise, which targets all customer categories with arrears, including residential, commercial, and industrial customers, as well as government institutions, is expected to run until September 30, 2025. ECG has warned that customers who fail to settle their debts will face disconnection and additional reconnection fees.

ECG’s initiative aims to recover millions of cedis in outstanding debts and improve its financial sustainability. The company has emphasized the importance of customers settling their debts promptly to avoid penalties and ensure a stable power supply.

To enforce the operation, ECG has deployed special task teams to monitor the exercise, apprehend individuals involved in illegal connections or unauthorized reconnections, and prosecute offenders.

Customers are encouraged to use official payment channels, such as the ECG Mobile App, to settle their bills securely. By recovering outstanding debts, ECG aims to strengthen its financial health and maintain a stable and reliable power supply across the country.
