The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Effutu, Rev. Atta Mensah, has announced that streetlight outages along the principal streets of Winneba have been successfully resolved.
According to him, work to extend the restoration exercise to other parts of the municipality will begin in the coming days to ensure all communities benefit from improved street lighting.
Rev. Mensah acknowledged the concerns and criticisms raised by residents over the prolonged outages, noting that the feedback strengthened the Assembly’s resolve to act swiftly.
“We acknowledge the criticism we received and are grateful it strengthened our resolve to act. We remain committed to steady, accountable governance and to addressing community concerns one issue at a time as we implement our reset agenda,” the MCE stated.
He further assured residents of the Assembly’s determination and faith in delivering results, emphasizing that his administration will continue working for the benefit of all residents through transparent and responsible leadership.
The restoration of streetlights is expected to improve security, ease movement at night, and enhance social and economic activities in Winneba and its surrounding communities.
