The Effutu Municipal Assembly has on Thursday, November 20, 2025 held its Third Quarter Management Meeting, bringing together heads of the various decentralized departments and units in the municipality to review performance and strategize for improved service delivery.
Addressing the gathering, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah called for a more strategic and coordinated approach to executing government policies and programmes. He urged management to develop practicable timelines that will enhance efficiency and improve public service outcomes.
Rev. Atta Mensah emphasized the need for stronger collaboration among departmental heads, noting that accountable and unified service delivery remains critical to achieving the objectives of government within the municipality. “We must work together to provide the clear direction needed to advance development and improve the lives of our people,” he stated.
The Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Mr. Majeed Ayariga, also delivered a stern caution to staff, urging them to refrain from acts of partisan politics that could compromise their professionalism as civil and local government officers.
He warned against gossip, backbiting, and the disregard for established reporting lines, stressing that such behaviors undermine the efficiency of the Assembly.
Mr. Ayariga further condemned attitudes of lateness, absenteeism and truancy, stating that these practices would no longer be tolerated. He expressed concern over corruption-related activities involving some officers and affirmed his resolve to take decisive action against any staff found culpable.
While admonishing staff to uphold the highest standards of conduct, the MCD appealed to the MCE to continue providing the necessary encouragement and motivation to ensure improved staff performance and adherence to mandate.
As part of the meeting, heads of departments presented their reports covering the last three quarters, which were reviewed for discussion and follow-up action.
The Management Meeting is part of the Assembly’s continuous efforts to strengthen internal coordination, enhance accountability, and improve the quality of service delivery to citizens within the Effutu Municipality.
