The Effutu Municipal Assembly has held a colourful send-off ceremony in honour of its retiring Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Abdulai Alhassan Issifu, celebrating his outstanding dedication, leadership, and service to the Assembly and the people of Effutu.
The event, which brought together staff of the Assembly, heads of departments, and former officials, was marked by an atmosphere of gratitude and celebration as colleagues reflected on the remarkable contributions of Mr. Issifu throughout his tenure in public service.
In a heartfelt tribute, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Rev. John Atta Mensah, praised the retiring Coordinating Director for his “depth of knowledge in local governance” and his unwavering commitment to the development agenda of the Municipality.
The MCE lauded Mr. Issifu’s role in strengthening the administrative structures of the Assembly and advancing Effutu’s sustainable development agenda.

Also present at the ceremony was the former Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, who reflected fondly on his working relationship with the outgoing Coordinating Director.
He acknowledged Mr. Issifu’s wise counsel, professionalism, and commitment to duty during his tenure as MCE, wishing him well in his future endeavours.
Heads of departments and agencies within the Municipality took turns to shower praises on Mr. Issifu, describing him as a father figure who promoted unity and teamwork within the Assembly. Many recounted how his open-door leadership style and deep understanding of governance processes helped in achieving the Assembly’s mission and vision.
The ceremony, filled with emotion and joy, featured presentations of gifts and citations from various departments and staff groups, all in recognition of Mr. Issifu’s distinguished service to both God and country.
In his remarks, Mr. Abdulai Alhassan Issifu expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Assembly, its leadership, and staff for their support throughout his years of service.
He encouraged the team to continue working together to promote transparency, development, and community engagement in Effutu’s local governance agenda.
The Management of the Effutu Municipal Assembly also joined in expressing their profound gratitude, describing Mr. Issifu’s tenure as one marked by efficiency, innovation, and unwavering dedication to duty.
