The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has reaffirmed her determination to drive holistic development across the constituency, as she concluded a three-day working tour that showcased her practical commitment to healthcare, education, and local economic growth.

Joined by a skilled team of engineers, architects, contractors, surveyors, and other technical experts, the MP traversed several communities to inspect ongoing works, assess project sites, and engage with local stakeholders on upcoming infrastructure projects.

The final day of the tour began at Wassa Ankasie, where Hon. Gyan Cudjoe inspected land earmarked for the construction of a new Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound, a facility that will bring healthcare closer to residents in the area.

Her next stop was Jedua Kesse, where another site has been set aside for a similar health facility, a move that underscores her drive to improve access to primary healthcare across Amenfi Central.

In Takyikrom, the MP inspected a parcel of land designated for the construction of an ultra-modern kindergarten block, an initiative designed to provide a more conducive learning environment for children in the community.

The tour continued to Sompre, where Hon. Gyan Cudjoe inspected an uncompleted classroom block at the Sompre D/A Basic School and pledged to ensure its early completion. She also visited Bonsie, where a new Junior High School block is planned for the Bonsie Islamic Basic School, aimed at expanding access to quality education.

At Agona Camp, the MP and her team surveyed land for a new kindergarten block, while at Ata Ne Ata, she reviewed a proposed site for a six-unit classroom block, part of her wider effort to eliminate overcrowding and strengthen foundational education in rural communities.

The tour climaxed at Agona Amenfi, where Hon. Gyan Cudjoe, in collaboration with the Assembly Member for the area, inspected land allocated for the construction of a 24-Hour Economy Market and an ultra-modern lorry station. The project, she noted, is expected to stimulate local trade, create jobs, and support the government’s vision of a vibrant, inclusive economy.

Addressing the media after the tour, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe described the three-day exercise as part of her strategy to “transform Amenfi Central through evidence-based development and active community involvement.”

“Development must be visible, practical, and people-centred. Every community in Amenfi Central deserves access to quality health care, education, and economic opportunities. That’s the promise I’m fulfilling,” she emphasized.

With the successful completion of her tour, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe has once again demonstrated her hands-on leadership style, one that blends vision, action, and accountability in service of her constituents.
