The Fire Service Ladies Association (FISLA) has commemorated its 30th anniversary with a humanitarian outreach to the Angels of Hope Orphanage in Tarkwa, reaffirming its commitment to community service beyond firefighting duties.

A team of officers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), led by ADO I Wendy Abokoma, visited the home to present assorted supplies and a cash donation aimed at supporting the welfare of the children.

The donation included boxes of powdered soap, washing bar soap, sanitary pads, baby wipes, packs and gallons of liquid soap, and a cash amount of GH₵2,000. The District Fire Officer, DO II Alex Assiem, was also part of the delegation.

Management of the orphanage, together with staff and children, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the team for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful. They offered prayers for the officers and appealed for ongoing support to help meet the facility’s growing needs.

The visit forms part of FISLA’s nationwide anniversary activities, which focus on giving back to communities and promoting compassion, care, and social responsibility within the service.
