A devastating night attack in the farming community of Temgmasug, Binduri District, Upper East Region, has claimed the lives of five family members, including two children, leaving another person injured.
The Assembly Member for the Koloku–Gumyoko Electoral Area, Anaba Joseph, said the incident occurred between 7 and 8 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025.
“I received a call last night that five people had been shot, with another injured at Temgmasug. Because of the motorbike ban, I couldn’t travel there at night. I went this morning and witnessed the tragedy myself,” he recounted.
All the victims belonged to the same family: a husband and wife, their two children, and the family head, reportedly in his nineties. The identity of the attackers remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
Authorities are appealing to anyone with information to come forward as the community grapples with the shocking loss.
