The Ghana Education Service (GES) has suspended a teacher at Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School in the Oti Region following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a female student.

In a statement released on Thursday, October 2, the Service confirmed that Mr. Mfo Richard Tibetor had been implicated in a disturbing video currently circulating on social media.

According to GES, the alleged behaviour is “unacceptable, unethical, and a gross breach of the professional code of conduct for teachers.”

As part of the disciplinary action, Mr. Tibetor has been barred from accessing the school compound while investigations continue.

The statement further assured parents, guardians, and the public that the safety and welfare of students remain the Service’s highest priority. It warned that any teacher whose conduct undermines the dignity and protection of learners “will face the full consequences of the law under the GES Code of Conduct.”

GES reiterated its commitment to upholding discipline, professionalism, and child safeguarding across all schools nationwide.
