Nakeeyat Dramani, the young Ghanaian poet and star of the 2019 Talented Kids, has taken a stand against inappropriate comments made about her on social media. The controversy erupted when Ras Kunta, the Assin Central NPP Vice Chair, described her as “ripe” in a comment under one of her posts.

In a recent TikTok video, Nakeeyat showcased her dance moves to Focalistic’s popular song, wearing a stylish grey top and wine-coloured leggings. The video quickly garnered attention, accumulating over 43,000 likes within 48 hours. However, one comment from Ras Kunta caught her attention for all the wrong reasons. He suggested that she had “finally become ripe,” a remark that Nakeeyat found deeply offensive.

In a bold move, Nakeeyat shared a screenshot of Ras Kunta’s comment on Instagram, expressing her outrage. She addressed him directly, stating, “@raskunta1✅ as a grown man, old enough to be my father, why will you disgrace yourself under my comment section? Stay away from me, pervert. I’m not stopping; we just started. Y’all perverts and pedophiles should wait for me. Let children grow.”

Her response highlighted not only her disapproval of the comment but also her readiness to confront similar behavior in the future.

The young poet’s actions have drawn significant support from the public. Many Ghanaians applauded her for calling out inappropriate behavior and encouraged her to continue exposing individuals who make such comments. Comments on her post reflected this support, with users urging her to take further action against such offenders.

One user remarked, “He has deactivated. He’s lucky. Next time, it’s the cops on him. Expose every one of them. Shame will get them.” Another added, “I applaud this as a child rights protection activist. However, be careful not to hurt innocent people in the process.”

Nakeeyat Dramani’s stance against inappropriate comments is a powerful reminder of the importance of respecting individuals, regardless of age. Her willingness to confront such issues publicly serves as an inspiration to many, encouraging a culture of accountability and respect in social media interactions.
