Ghana’s presidential Falcon Jet has finally returned to the country following an eight-month maintenance and repair period in France, addressing technical faults that required specialized attention.
The aircraft underwent thorough inspections at Dassault Falcon Service’s Paris Le Bourget facility, including the mandatory 24-month and 1,600-flight-hour checks. During the process, technicians identified critical issues with the fuel tank system and one of the turbofan engines, necessitating repairs only possible at the official Dassault service center.
Delays in sourcing manufacturer-certified spare parts extended the overhaul period, but the aircraft has now completed all necessary tests, including engine runs, leak inspections, and trial flights, earning a full certification for operational readiness.
Prior to its return to Accra, the jet conducted a short repositioning flight from Marseille, completing final preparations before resuming service with the Ghana Air Force. The successful completion of this maintenance ensures the presidential fleet is now fully operational and safe for official missions.
