The Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), in partnership with the Digital Transformation Centres, has launched a free two-week digital skills training program aimed at empowering 120 female small business owners in the Oti Region.

The training, which runs from November 3 to 14, 2025, is being held daily from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM across Jasikan, Nkwanta South, and Krachi West Districts. It targets female entrepreneurs, including hairdressers, seamstresses, caterers, and others, with a special inclusion of 20 participants with disabilities.

Participants will receive hands-on lessons in digital awareness, computer and mobile device use, cybersecurity, social media marketing, and digital finance for small businesses.

According to GIFEC, the initiative seeks to equip women entrepreneurs with essential digital skills to enhance business growth, efficiency, and access to online markets.

Supported by Norway, HP LIFE, Cisco Networking Academy, and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the program forms part of a broader effort to promote digital inclusion and economic empowerment across Ghana.
