Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has insisted that his team did not deserve defeat in Sunday’s fiercely contested Super Clash against Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians fell 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium during Matchday 9 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League. The only goal of the match came from a first-half penalty converted by Guinean striker Morifing Donzo, maintaining Kotoko’s unbeaten run this season.
Speaking after the game, Dramani acknowledged the loss but argued that the scoreline did not reflect the overall flow of play. “We lost. I think we didn’t deserve to lose, in my opinion, and anyone who observed the game closely will agree,” he said.
However, the coach admitted that certain areas of his team’s performance were below standard. “We didn’t do well in some areas, and we need to improve,” Dramani added.
The defeat leaves Hearts of Oak in fifth place on the league table with 16 points. The team will travel to the Swedru Sports Stadium for their Matchday 10 clash against Swedru All Blacks.
