Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Sammi Awuku, has expressed confidence in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) winning the 2028 general elections, emphasizing the party’s intention to build a strong, election-winning team.
“The intention of the party is to become an election winning machine. We tried that in 2016. I pray that God helps us so we get a solid team,” Awuku said in an interview on AsaasePa FM.
He added that changes within the party’s current national executives would pave the way for a renewed leadership structure.
“It is crystal clear that the current national executives we have now, will all not return after the election by the close of the year. Some will not contest again which will help build a new team; some of them also will contest again of which some might win, some might not,” he explained.
Awuku stressed that whichever team is constructed will be carefully built to work in close coordination with the party’s presidential candidates to ensure electoral success.
“But whichever team that will be constructed will be well built, and together with the presidential candidates, we work together to win election,” he said.
