Ghanaian rapper Kunta Kinte, also known as Bradez, has dismissed rumours suggesting he deliberately ignored collaboration requests from Sarkodie, explaining that he was critically ill at the time and fighting for his life.

Speaking in an interview on Angel FM, the rapper revealed that Sarkodie continued to reach out to him for a verse even when he was down with a stroke and struggling to survive.

“Sarkodie was still chasing me for a verse when I was down with stroke and dying,” Kunta Kinte said. “But if he still wants it now, I will gladly give him.”

He explained that there was never any bad blood between them and stressed that his inability to work on the projects was purely due to his health condition.

“He used to come to me anytime and I always welcomed him,” he stated. “He even gave me two songs he wanted us to do together, but at that time I was sick and could not even walk.”

Kunta Kinte emphasised that his relationship with Sarkodie remains intact, contrary to speculation within sections of the music industry and among fans.

“I still have a good relationship with Sarkodie,” he added. “If he brings me a feature like now, I will do it with him.”
