The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has sent a strong message to criminal elements across the country, warning that the Ghana Police Service will continue to make life extremely difficult for anyone who attempts to disrupt the peace and security of the nation.

Speaking at a security briefing in Accra on Wednesday, September 24, Mr. Yohuno reaffirmed the commitment of the Police Service to pursue lawbreakers without fear or favour until they are brought to justice.

“I want to assure you that the police will continue to make life uncomfortable for criminal elements in our society. We will pursue you relentlessly until you are brought to justice,” he stressed.

The IGP also called on the public to play a vital role in safeguarding their communities by providing timely and credible information to support police investigations.

“I want to take this opportunity to call on all members of the public to support the police with information for successful investigations. Let us all be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or activities to the police,” he appealed.

According to him, the Service will continue to act swiftly on reliable intelligence and will not hesitate to reward individuals whose tips lead to successful operations or arrests.

Mr. Yohuno emphasised that collaboration between the police and the public remains the surest way to clamp down on crime and ensure lasting peace in the country.
