Josef Emmanuel Sarpong has reportedly resigned from his role as head coach of Eleven Wonders, bringing his short spell at the club to an early end barely a month after his appointment.
Sarpong, a veteran of Ghanaian football with previous stints at Ebusua Dwarfs and Great Olympics, was unveiled on November 2 as the replacement for Nii Odartey Lamptey, who departed following the team’s disappointing start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
His exit comes on the heels of three straight league defeats, against Aduana FC, Vision FC, and Medeama SC, which further compounded the club’s mounting troubles.
Although the club has not released an official statement, sources close to the team suggest that unresolved internal issues and broader organisational challenges influenced Sarpong’s decision to walk away.
The development adds another layer of uncertainty around Eleven Wonders, who remain winless after 10 matches this season. Club officials are now expected to initiate the search for a caretaker coach.
Eleven Wonders are set to play Hohoe United this weekend as Matchday 11 of the league approaches.
