Son of late highlife legend Dada KD, JIM PEE, says his family holds no bitterness but rather deep gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by Ghanaians during his father’s funeral.

Speaking on Angel FM in Kumasi, JIM PEE reflected on the nationwide outpouring of love that accompanied the final rites of the celebrated musician.

Setting the tone of appreciation, he stated, “We are not bitter. We are content with how Ghanaians and the nation mourned my father.”

According to him, the level of support exceeded expectations and left a lasting impression on the family.

Describing the experience candidly, he said, “To be honest, he had lots of support. It was even overwhelming to me.”

He revealed that the family had to postpone the funeral dates several times, a situation they initially feared might negatively impact attendance and participation.

Explaining their concern, he noted, “We kept on postponing the dates, and we thought it could have affected the funeral.”

However, their fears proved unfounded.

Highlighting the public response, JIM PEE added, “In the long run, people came in their numbers to help.”

He emphasized that beyond attendance, many individuals and groups offered various forms of assistance to ensure the funeral was dignified and befitting of his father’s legacy.

On behalf of the family, he expressed heartfelt appreciation to the nation. “The family is grateful to all Ghanaians for the help and support rendered to us during my father’s funeral,” he concluded.
