Lawyer Kingsley Bonsu Kyeretwie in an interview on Oyerepa Radio has criticized President John Dramani Mahama’s State of the Nation Address, describing it as a presentation dominated by statistics rather than practical solutions.

According to him, the address, which reportedly spanned 57 pages, was heavily filled with numerical data but lacked meaningful substance that directly addressed the realities facing Ghanaians.

“President Mahama’s State of the Nation Address lacked substance. He only came to mention figures to Ghanaians,” he stated.

Kingsley Bonsu Kyeretwie Esq argued that governance should go beyond the presentation of statistics and focus on the real-life impact of policies on citizens. In his view, the central question should not be how many figures are cited, but how those figures translate into tangible improvements in the lives of ordinary people.

“About a 57-page document was filled with numbers. He did not say anything proper. What is the effect on the country?” he questioned.

He maintained that national addresses could have provided a  clear direction, measurable impact, and practical solutions rather than what he described as an overemphasis on data presentation.
