Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has expressed concern over the club’s mounting injury problems, saying they are affecting his preparation and testing his resilience.
Speaking after Sunday’s 1-1 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium in Matchday 10, Zito acknowledged the challenges of managing a team beset by constant injuries. “Every day of the week, some player will get injured. What I’m going through at this club is not easy,” he said.
The coach revealed that forward Dauda Saaka was fielded despite not being fully fit, reflecting the limited options available. “I had to use what I have to get what I want, though we couldn’t achieve the target,” he added.
Kotoko will return to the Baba Yara Stadium today to face Young Apostles, before travelling to Nsenkyire Sports Complex for their Matchday 11 clash against FC Samartex.
