Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has described the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka as “a grace and a gift not just to his family, but to Ghana and the entire African continent.”

Mr. Kufuor made the remarks when Sarah Adwoa Safo, former MP for Dome-Kwabenya and daughter of the late Apostle, led a family delegation to pay a courtesy visit to him at his residence in Peduase.

Reflecting on the Apostle’s remarkable life and legacy, the former President said every individual has a divine mission, and Apostle Safo fulfilled his with excellence and innovation.

“Apostle lived his life well and told his own story before his passing,” Mr. Kufuor noted, commending the unity and resilience of the Safo family. “He nurtured his children well.”

He recalled his personal interactions with Apostle Safo during his presidency, including the decision to honour him with a state award in recognition of his immense contribution to national development.

Mr. Kufuor also recounted attending one of Apostle Safo’s technology exhibitions in Gomoa in September 2024, which, he said, drew international attention and showcased the Apostle’s global influence as an inventor and industrialist.

The former President further pledged to attend the 40th Day observance of the late Apostle at the University of Ghana, Legon, and urged the family to give him a dignified burial befitting his extraordinary achievements.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo expressed heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Kufuor for his longstanding support, friendship, and mentorship.
