Lordina Mahama (née Lordina Effah; born 6 March 1963 in Nkoranza District, Bono East Region) is the First Lady of Ghana since 7 January 2025.

She previously held the role from 24 July 2012 to 7 January 2017 during her husband’s earlier presidency.

Lordina is married to John Dramani Mahama, and they have five children: Shafik, Shahid, Sharaf, Jesse, and Farida.

She speaks English, Hausa, Dagbani, and Twi fluently.

Her education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a Master’s Degree in Governance and Leadership also from GIMPA, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law from De Montfort University, UK (2019).

She has long engaged in humanitarian work, particularly through the Lordina Foundation, which she founded. The Foundation works to empower women, support vulnerable groups, improve maternal and child healthcare, and provide aid in underserved rural areas.

Since returning to the role of First Lady in 2025, some of her recent activities include sponsoring 10 legacy temples for the Assemblies of God Church in Ghana, providing facilities and resources for pastors, and refurbishing a temple in President Mahama’s hometown.
