MAHAMA LAUNCHES BIG PUSH INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAMME, ASSURES NATIONWIDE DEVELOPMENT

President John Dramani Mahama has officially launched the much-anticipated Big Push Infrastructure Programme, pledging that all 16 regions of Ghana will benefit from massive investments in critical projects.

At the official launch today, President Mahama assured Ghanaians that the programme would usher in a new era of equitable development across the country. He emphasized that the initiative is designed to address infrastructural gaps in roads, housing, schools, health facilities, and water systems, with special attention to underserved communities.

The first sod-cutting ceremony under the programme took place for the people of Afienya, Dawenya, and Dodowa, symbolizing the beginning of widespread projects that will transform both urban and rural areas.

According to the President, the Big Push will not only improve social amenities but also create thousands of jobs for the youth, stimulate economic growth, and enhance connectivity among the regions.

“The Big Push is not for a few selected areas. Every one of the 16 regions will see real, tangible development,” he declared, adding that government is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in the implementation of the programme.

Stakeholders and community members present at the launch expressed optimism that the initiative will ease long-standing developmental challenges in their localities.
