President John Mahama has appointed 18 new Deputy Heads of Mission to represent Ghana in various embassies and high commissions around the world.

The new list features notable figures such as former Chief of Defence Staff General Thomas Oppong-Peprah and former presidential spokesperson Ben Dotsei Malor.

Also on the list are Sophia Karen Ackuaku, former MP for Domeabra-Obom; George Harrison; Sanni Jajah; Aquinas Quansah; and Jamilatu Amadu, among others.

The appointments were confirmed in a letter from the Office of the President, signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President.

According to the Presidency, the nominees bring together extensive experience from the military, public service, and communications fields to enhance Ghana’s diplomatic representation.
