TDC Ghana Limited has rolled out a new policy that will see all National Service Personnel posted to the company undergo a compulsory two-week basic military and disciplinary training before assuming their official duties.
According to the Managing Director, Mr. Courage Nunekpeku, the initiative is designed to instill discipline, teamwork, and professionalism among young graduates working with the company.
He made this known during a colourful passing-out parade for TDC’s newly trained Security Task Force at the First Infantry Battalion (1BN), Michel Camp. The parade, commanded by Trainee Alex Alemah, marked the successful completion of an intensive two-week training session jointly organized with the Ghana Armed Forces.
Mr. Nunekpeku lauded the leadership of 1BN for their instrumental role in shaping TDC’s Security Task Force into a disciplined and professional unit. He described the event as a key milestone in TDC’s growth, emphasizing that qualities such as discipline, emotional intelligence, and first aid skills are vital for effective security operations.
He further announced that future recruitment for the Security Task Force will be conducted in collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces to ensure uniform training standards and consistency.
Mr. Nunekpeku encouraged the graduates to serve with integrity and represent TDC with pride, particularly in maintaining order and addressing land encroachment issues within the Tema Acquisition Area.
He also expressed appreciation to Lt. Col. Frank Adams, Commanding Officer of the First Infantry Battalion, for his leadership and continued partnership, reaffirming TDC’s commitment to deepening its collaboration with the military.
The passing-out ceremony, attended by staff and officials, marked another step in TDC Ghana Limited’s efforts to promote institutional discipline, professionalism, and security excellence through strong partnerships.
