MULTICHOICE AFRICA OFFERS GH¢555 SUBSIDY ON ZAPPER DECODER AND DISH KIT – SAM GEORGE

Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam Nartey George, has announced that MultiChoice Africa will provide a GH¢555 subsidy on its Zapper decoder and dish kit.

The move means new customers can now purchase the decoder and dish kit at half the current price, representing a 50% discount. The announcement was made at a press briefing in Accra on Monday, September 29, following discussions with the pay-TV provider.

According to the Minister, the subsidy comes in addition to the 33–50% value increase already rolled out by MultiChoice. A committee will review the initiative after three months to assess its impact.

Mr. George emphasized government’s commitment to ensuring citizens benefit from such partnerships, describing MultiChoice as “a responsible business operating in Ghana.”
