South African rapper Nasty C has praised Ghanaian hip-hop talent, naming Black Sherif as his number one favourite, followed by Kwesi Arthur and Vic Mensa, the US-based Ghanaian artist.

In an interview on Joy Prime’s “Changes with Roselyn Felli,” Nasty C said the trio stands out for their creativity and unique style. “Black Sherif’s music just speaks to me,” he explained. “Kwesi Arthur comes next for his energy and flow, and Vic Mensa rounds out my top three. Shatta Wale is also in the mix, but these are my current favourites.”

When asked why Sarkodie was missing from the top three, Nasty C clarified that the Ghanaian rap icon still makes his top five, but didn’t fit in the top three at this moment.

The rapper also addressed his past fallout with Sarkodie in 2022, describing it as a misunderstanding that got blown out of proportion. “A lot got lost in translation. I don’t know if someone misled him or if it was misinterpreted, but his response to my song was a bit heated. I’m ready to clear things up,” he said.

Nasty C’s comments showcase his respect for Ghanaian rap, highlighting emerging stars while also calling for unity and reconciliation in the industry.
