National Service Personnel of the 2024/2025 service year posted to the Information Services Department (ISD) at the Effutu Municipal Assembly have honoured the Head of the Department, Mr. Charles Baah Aboagye, with a Citation of Appreciation and a Framed Portrait in recognition of his exceptional leadership, mentorship, and unwavering support throughout their period of national service.

The colourful presentation ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, January 13, 2025, was held in office of the Information Services Department and witnessed by members of the 2026 National Service batch currently deployed to the Department. The gesture symbolized the profound gratitude of the outgone personnel for the professional guidance and nurturing environment they enjoyed during their service year.

Presenting the citation on behalf of her colleagues, Miss Louisa Baaba Afful expressed deep appreciation to Mr. Aboagye for his continuous encouragement, open-door leadership style, and commitment to capacity building. She noted that his mentorship significantly enhanced their work ethic, communication skills, understanding of public sector operations, and overall appreciation of national development efforts.

“Mr. Aboagye’s leadership went beyond supervision. He believed in us, trusted us with responsibilities, and created opportunities that allowed us to grow professionally and personally,” Miss Afful remarked.

She further emphasized that the skills and values imparted under his leadership would remain invaluable assets as the personnel transition into the next phase of their professional lives.

In his response, a visibly moved Mr. Charles Baah Aboagye expressed heartfelt gratitude to the service personnel for the honour bestowed on him. He commended them for their dedication, discipline, and sense of responsibility throughout the service year, describing their recognition as deeply meaningful.

“This is the best thing that has happened to me this year. I am truly grateful. Thank you all,” he said.

Mr. Aboagye encouraged the outgone personnel to remain committed to excellence and integrity wherever their career paths may lead, while also assuring the current batch of his continued support and mentorship.

The 2026 National Service Personnel present at the ceremony also applauded the initiative taken by their predecessors, describing it as a thoughtful and inspiring gesture that reflects the strong culture of appreciation, unity, and professionalism within the Information Services Department.
